Ashwell Biomass are exclusive UK distributors of this comprehensive range of biomass boilers. The D’Alessandro boiler range is manufactured in Italy to ISO9001 quality standards and, are EN303/5 compliant. With boiler outputs ranging from 20kW to 2MW and versatility over a large range of fuel types, the D’Alessandro boilers are suitable for most applications
Komforts range – 500kW to 8MW
Ashwell Biomass are exclusive UK distributors and installers of the Komforts boiler range. Komforts provide a range of bespoke boilers and complete boiler house solutions to provide hot water, steam and CHP. The advanced systems are manufactured to order in Latvia to ISO9001 quality standards and are more suited for medium to largescale industrial and commercial solutions.
Ashwell GreenTec range – 50kW to 300kW.
The GreenTec wood pellet boiler range is manufactured in-house in Leicester. They are exempt appliances which allow use in Smoke Controlled Areas (under the Clean Air Act) and, being of modular design, offer an extremely versatile configuration of fuel feeds along with a much reduced footprint compared to the majority of biomass boilers.
Accessories
A wide range of accessories are also available to provide a one stop shop for a full installation.
Conversion kits
Ashwell also produces conversion kits for commercial and industrial coal fired boilers, enabling renewable biomass fuels to be introduced into any existing heating system, not just for new installations. The result is an improved efficiency in excess of 20% as well as lower carbon emissions.

Background

Products
D'Alessandro biomass boilers offer heating solutions ranging from residential and agricultural uses to applications in industrial plants and district heating systems.
The biomass boilers are also certified according to EN 303-5 (class 3) which covers combustion efficiency, emissions and safety. All D’Alessandro boilers are supplied with a two year warranty on the heat exchanger and one year warranty on electrical items and aftersales support is provided by Ashwell Biomass.
Fuels
Suitable fuels are wood pellet, olive husk, almond and nut shells, woodchips, wood-shavings and sawdust.

| CSI | The CSI range (20kW to 100kW) of low pressure hot water boilers offers a robust boiler design with high efficiency and low emissions. It is a lower cost option compared to other multi-fuel boilers. The compact hopper is rear mounted and although a wood pellet boiler, can be used with other fuels. |
| CSI Compact | The CSI Compact (20kW to 40kW) of low pressure hot water boilers offers a small footprint installation with an internal compact fuel hopper. It is of robust design with high efficiencies and low emissions. Although it is predominantly a wood pellet boiler, can be used with other fuels. |

| CSL | The CSL range (25kW to 950kW) of low pressure hot water biomass boilers are basic manual feed appliances that use firewood as fuel. They are particularly suitable in situations where wood off-cuts and clean waste wood are readily available. |

Background
Established in 1991, JSC Komforts has 20 years of experience and is the Baltic’s leading biomass heating company.
Komforts are specialists in design, production, installation, and maintenance of biomass heat generators and boiler houses.
Komforts products are manufactured to ISO 9001:2008 standards and their capable engineering and construction team work in partnership with Ashwell’s own engineers to support the development of high quality projects for both reconstructing boiler houses, as well as constructing new plant rooms to house the Komforts boilers.
Komforts has particular expertise in industrial water heating boiler production (up to 10 MW) and providing fully automatic boiler houses which can be operated by remote access via the internet or GSM.
Products:
Komforts can offer a full range of boiler houses from simple to turn - key. Komforts’ capability allows the design of systems as a complete package to include boilers, fuel stores and fuel delivery systems, walkways, sectional boiler houses, chimneys and flues using a modular approach. These bespoke systems can range from 500kW to 8MW.

Fuels:
Komforts biomass boilers are heavy duty specialist systems which can burn a very large range of fuels including high moisture content, low grade wood/brash which pose problems for the majority of biomass boilers. These include, but are not limited to, wood chip, wood pellet (including industrial grade pellet), milled or chunk peat, crushed bark or combinations of these. Therefore, they offer a very flexible and robust solution.
Modules available:
The modular approach means that the following components are selected against a range of variants available to build a complete bespoke system:

Ashwell
Based in Leicester, Ashwell was founded in 1879 and has decades of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of solid fuel heating systems.
Ashwell Biomass identified the opportunity in the market to change from coal fired systems to biomass fuelled systems and, in the early 1990s, and became one of the first UK companies to venture into biomass market. Initially producing conversion kits for existing commercial and industrial coal fired boilers of up to 1.5 megawatts, Ashwell designed its own biomass boiler products. Ashwell GreenTec boiler
Ashwell GreenTec UK manufactured biomass boilers (50kW to 300kW) are a heating solution suitable for large residential use through to industrial and commercial boiler houses.
The Ashwell GreenTec (50kW to 300kW) is a low maintenance wood pellet boiler of modular design which allows an extremely versatile configuration of fuel feeds. The compact design results in a smaller footprint compared to similar output biomass boilers.
The Ashwell GreenTec biomass boiler range includes models which are certified according to EN 303-5 (class 3), covering combustion efficiency, emissions and safety, and are exempt appliances which allow use in Smoke Controlled Areas. Containerised bio heat cabins are also manufactured by Ashwell Biomass although these can incorporate any make of boiler, not just the Ashwell GreenTecs.
